Maak je eigen natuurlijke acrylverf met ons geheel nieuwe, eerste in zijn soort, plantaardige acrylmedium. Natural Earth Paint Acrylik medium is gemaakt met natuurlijk archiverende ingrediënten om een ​​permanente, waterbestendige en niet-vergelende afwerking te bieden die kristalhelder opdroogt.

• Natuurlijke acrylverf | Meng met onze natuurlijke aardepigmenten om uw eigen natuurlijke acrylverf te maken die perfect is voor gebruik op canvas, papier, stof, hout, steen, gipsplaat en metaal. Elk pigment heeft een andere chemische structuur, dus de hoeveelheid die nodig is om te mengen, zal variëren, maar over het algemeen heeft elke volle pot acryl ongeveer 4oz-5oz pigment nodig.
• Natuurlijke textielverf | Meng met pigmenten om de enige natuurlijke, permanente en waterdichte textielverf op de markt te maken.

Winterwaarschuwing: Natural Earth Paint maakt producten zonder conserveringsmiddelen, er zijn dus omstandigheden waar we rekening mee moeten houden. Deze verven moeten tijdens verzending boven het vriespunt blijven, anders reageren ze en zijn ze onbruikbaar. Als u in een noordelijk, koud klimaat woont, schrijf dan bij het afrekenen "Isoleer alstublieft" in de bestelnotities. Zorg er ook voor dat u het medium niet buiten of in een ijskoude omgeving bewaart. Wanneer een verzending langer dan twee dagen duurt, besluiten we te wachten tot een iets hogere temperatuur.

Can I add water to it / can it be thinned with water?
This acrylic can be thinned with as much water as conventional acrylic medium.

Is it UV resistant?
Unfortunately, it is not. However, if you are mixing it with natural earth pigments or brushing over a natural earth pigment painting then it will be completely UV resistant and never fade - because of the pigments themselves.

Is it waterproof?
It is water resistant.

Can I add pigment to it?
Mix with our Earth & Mineral Pigments to make your own natural acrylic paints that are perfect for use on canvas, paper, fabric, wood, stone, drywall and metal.

How does it dry / what is the finish?
The natural acrylik medium dries to a semi-gloss.

Is it biodegradable?
The natural acrylic medium does biodegrade over a long period of time, but it will not break down quickly in compost units because it is meant to be durable and permanent.

If you prefer a biodegradable paint then a better option would be our Complete Eco-friendly Oil Paint Kit, our Natural Watercolor Kit, Natural Earth Children's Paint Kit, or any recipes on our website (gouache, egg tempera, casein paint, etc.). These paints will be permanent and archival as well (if kept indoors away from elements) but if they are thrown away or left out in the elements, they will turn back to earth.

How does it compare to traditional acrylic mediums?
This medium behaves exactly like conventional acrylic medium and will create a very durable, archival, solid paint film. The only difference between this product and conventional acrylic medium is that this one is made with plants and non-toxic ingredients whereas conventional is made with petroleum and toxic additives.

Can I use it as a varnish?
Yes, it works great to seal paintings and other craft projects. Works great as a protectant over our Natural Earth Paints. We also make a Natural Varnish as well.

Can I use it for collage or mixed media projects?
Yes, our Acrylik Medium acts as a natural adhesive, perfect for mixed media or collage artworks.

Is it archival?
Yes, this medium behaves exactly like conventional acrylic medium and will create a very durable, archival, solid paint film.

Can I wash it down the drain?
Our Natural Acrylik Medium has been certified safe to wash down the drain to be safely filtered by any septic city filtration system and will not damage pipes. However, we still recommend throwing away used paint in the trash if you're getting rid of large amounts of paint rather than pouring it down a drain. Washing brushes out in the sink is completely fine.

How long does it take to dry?
10-45 minutes depending on humidity levels.

How long will the Natural Acrylik Medium last once painted?
The acrylic medium has the same longevity as conventional acrylic. While there's no scientific evidence yet surrounding exactly how long acrylics last (acrylic paint has only been around for 70 years!), we can promise at least 70+ years in gallery-like conditions (with limited humidity, dirt, and direct bright sunlight). The paint film is highly flexible, durable, non-yellowing, non-cracking and water-resistant when dry.

How much coverage can I get out of one jar of your Natural Acrylik Medium if I'm using it as a sealant?
The 16 oz. jar will give you approximately 70 square feet of coverage. It can also be thinned with water like conventional acrylic mediums to extend the coverage.

Does it smell?
Yes, natural acrylik medium smells similar to other acrylic paints or mediums. However, there are no toxic VOCs, and many people who are generally sensitive to acrylic paints and mediums report they are able to use natural acrylik medium without symptoms.
